A Mayfair Apartment Is The Ideal Place To Stay When Visiting London

If you are visiting London, whether it is on holiday or for business, there is really no point in staying anywhere other than in the heart of the city where everything is right on your doorstep. Let’s face it, London has a lot to offer, but it is choked with traffic as are all the other major cities in the world. Certainly, you can stay in the suburbs, but then you are faced with the awful commute every morning and evening to get in and out of the centre.

You don’t need a commute of an hour or two, crushed in with all those other poor people who have to get in to go to work and have no choice. What would be the point? If you are visiting on business you need to be bright and fresh in the morning to see customers or suppliers, and equally if you are visiting on holiday you are doing it for FUN, not for a battle through the crowds!

This is why so many visitors to the city are now choosing a Mayfair apartment which they can use as a base. A Mayfair apartment is actually within walking distance of many of the places that you need to visit on business or want to see while you are on vacation. In fact, you can walk to a lot of places faster than you could get there by road in a taxi, and walking doesn’t cost anything. What’s the point of sitting in a traffic jam in a taxi which is clocking up the fare by the minute?

A Mayfair apartment is usually serviced, which means that you don’t have to worry about cleaning it or even making the bed in the morning. You just get up, shower, have breakfast, and then you are all set for the day. It’s just like being in your own home, but without any responsibility except doing your own cooking. In fact, you don’t even have to do that if you don’t want to, as you have world class restaurants only a few minutes’ walk away.

You Get Privacy And Space In London Serviced Apartments

London is one of the finest cities in the world, and indeed many Londoners would argue that it is by far and away the best. If you stay in the heart of London you have everything at your fingertips, except possibly an English country pub and fields full of cows. However, even right in the city centre there are several parks in which you can wander, and in Hyde Park, perhaps the best known, you can actually go horse riding if you wish.

Of course, many people who visit London, whether on business or pleasure, stay in one of the many famous – if expensive – hotels. However, more and more visitors are now looking for serviced apartments in central London. This is not just because they can be considerably cheaper than a hotel, although that is a distinct advantage, but because serviced apartments in central London provide all the amenities of a hotel except a restaurant and bar.

So yes, you have to do your own cooking, but that is the same as you do at home so it isn’t that hard. What’s more, it gives you a much greater choice of food because you are not restricted to what the hotel offers. It also gives you two things that you won’t get in a hotel, and that is privacy along with a lot more space.

It is estimated that serviced apartments in central London provide about twice the space that you have in a hotel room, and they are also all your own for the duration of your stay. There is just you and your family living as you do at home, but yet with a maid service, security, and everything done for you except the cooking. Furthermore, you can do your own laundry rather than having to rely on the hotel laundry, and you can relax and invite guests round for a drink or a meal.
If you really don’t want to do the cooking one evening you can simply pop out to one of the dozens of superb restaurants on your doorstep.

Some Unusual Things To Do In London

When you visit London there are dozens of things to do that just about everybody does. Visit Buckingham Palace, St.Paul’s Cathedral, and The Tower of London. Just opposite the Tower you can watch Tower Bridge being raised as large ships pass underneath. Visit all the museums. See the art galleries. Go shopping in Bond Street, Oxford Street, and in Knightsbridge. Those are the sorts of things that everyone does, and that people will tell you that you “must” do.

However, there are a lot of other things that you can do when visiting the city that most tourists never see. Everyone knows that there is an underground train service, but did you know that there is another one? It’s the Mail Rail and for eighty years it shuttled letters and parcels across the city until it was closed in 2003. However, it has now been reopened as part of the Postal Museum and you can hop on board and see a piece of history.

Plenty To Do In London, But The Hotel Prices Are Astronomical

If you are coming to London on holiday and bringing the family it is no doubt the treat of a lifetime for the kids. London is a vibrant city and there is a lot going on and plenty for them to see and do. There is the Tower of London where they can see the Crown Jewels, Buckingham Palace, Regent’s Park Zoo – one of the largest zoos in the world – art galleries, museums, cinemas, theatres, and as for the shopping – well your partner will be delighted! If you stay in Mayfair in the West End some of the finest shopping in the world is within walking distance.

However, when you are bringing the family the problem is the cost of staying in a hotel. If you are a multi-millionaire it is no problem, but the fact is that the vast majority of us are not. A family of four is going to need two hotel rooms and in Mayfair you can well be looking at £1,500 a night for that. Over a fortnight’s stay that adds up to a big amount, and that’s before you have dinner in the hotel restaurant!

An Alternative To A Hotel When Visiting London

London is a very large capital city - one of the biggest in the world – with a population of 9 million. It also has 19 million visitors each year and every last one of them needs somewhere to stay. This is why there are so many hotels in central London to cater for all these people, and it is also why they are so expensive because – within reason – they can charge what they like because they basically have a captive audience. They consider that all these visitors don’t have a choice, but some shrewd travellers know that they do.

If you, too, are a shrewd traveller you will know that there is an alternative and it is to rent a luxury apartment in London. More and more today, people are coming to realise that renting a luxury serviced apartment has lots of benefits.

Shop Until You Drop When Visiting London

If you are visiting London on a shopping trip you have a real treat in store. Oxford Street is as good a place as any with which to start, and there are over 300 shops along its’ length. Near to Marble Arch is Selfridges which is known worldwide. There are six floors of beauty products, homewares, furnishings, clothing, and luxury brands, together with a very large denim department.

In Oxford Street you will also come across flagship stores of Topshop, John Lewis, Debenham’s, Primark, Nike, and a whole lot more. For jewellery, head over to Bond Street where you will find the likes of Cartier, Chanel, Jaeger Lecoultre, Mappin & Webb, Rolex, and Tiffany.

Just off Oxford Street is St Christopher’s Place which is pedestrianised and houses a collection of small boutiques. You can also get a spot of lunch here at places like Carluccio’s.

Advantages Of Leasing A House In Mayfair

What is the best place to stay in Central London when you are visiting, whether it’s for a couple of nights, a couple of weeks, or several months? The answer to that question is that there is no answer.

It really all depends on your definition of the words “best place” and that will have different meanings for different people. For some people it means the most expensive hotel in the West End where everything is done for them and they really don’t care about the cost. If you happen to be a Hollywood star, an oil tycoon, or you are one of the Richard Branson’s of this world, then that may be what you would choose.

Others may prefer a hotel, but don’t want to, or are unable to afford, the prices of West End hotels, so they will choose somewhere further away from the centre of the city. Of course, this means that if you have to come into the city centre every day, whether on business or on vacation, you will have to join the thousands of other Londoners on the daily commute and that can be really no fun at all.

For other people a hotel may be regarded as out of the question for any number of reasons. The cost might be one, but others just don’t like being stuck in a big impersonal building with hundreds of other people whom they have never met before and never will again, and so they will go looking for an apartment to rent in Central London. This can be an excellent choice, because a serviced apartment can provide you with a lot of facilities that you would get in a hotel, but you have your own “home” for the duration of your stay. You can rent a serviced apartment for a couple of nights, a couple of weeks, or in many cases much longer, and it will cost less than a hotel room.

There are quite a lot of serviced apartments to choose from in Mayfair and they come with a variety of different facilities. Some may provide a 24 hour concierge and security service as you would get in a hotel, and the maid service will take care of changing the beds and cleaning the apartment for you. Most will have high speed broadband as standard, and provide the latest televisions – often with very many international channels in a variety of languages. Many of the apartments have one or two double bedrooms, and a few may have three, usually with king sized beds. Of one thing you can be sure, and that is that these apartments are all furnished luxuriously so you will want for nothing.

However, what do you do if you have a large family or are in a party of six or more people? You won’t find many apartments that can cater for a group of that size, so your other option is a house to lease, Mayfair. While this is an option, you will find that there are nowhere near as many houses to lease as there are apartments, but there are nonetheless some available.

Many of these homes were built in Georgian times some 200 years ago and are excellent examples of the architecture of that era. Even though they are in Central London, some of them have small gardens or access to communal gardens so that you can sit outside on sunny days, and perhaps even have a picnic.

Leasing a house in Mayfair can also be a cost-effective solution, depending on how your party is made up. The cost of leasing could be split between two or three people, making the house considerably less expensive than renting, say, three one bedroom apartments in the city. Of course, if you just have a large family you may have to pay for the lease yourself, but it will still work out at much less than hotel rooms for say eight or nine people, and you still have a home which you can call your own for the duration of your stay. Altogether, leasing a house can be a great solution as opposed to other types of accommodation.

Lease A House In Mayfair, Central London

Many people visit London during the course of a year. In fact it was recently shown that London had over 19 million visitors in a year for the first time, which is more than double the number of residents.

Many of those visitors are here for a few days on business. Others are semi-permanent residents such as foreign ambassadors who may be here for several years. Still others are just visiting for a holiday with their families. No matter what the purpose of your visit the prerequisite is that you will need somewhere to stay.

The very best place to stay in London is Mayfair which is at the heart of the capital. It is within walking distance of the best shopping you can imagine, and close to the best restaurants, nightclubs, theatres, bars, museums, and just about everything a visitor could wish for.

If you are just stopping by for a few nights a hotel will probably do. Yes, Mayfair hotels are fairly impersonal with people coming and going constantly, but they are OK for a few nights.

However, if you are bringing your family here on holiday for a month they can be no fun at all. The restaurants are large, the bars are large, and the lounges are large. Certainly, they may be comfortable, but there is nowhere to “get away from it all” except for your own room where you can sit with your minibar and TV.

How much different would it be if you could live in your own family home for the duration of your stay? Many people know that you can lease furnished apartments in Mayfair, but not so many are aware that you can also find a house to lease, Mayfair, London

It’s true. If you have a large family or are visiting London with friends you can find a house to lease which has five or six bedrooms, reception rooms, fully fitted kitchen, and is furnished as luxuriously as your own home – and possibly even more so. You get everything that you would get in a hotel, but it is your own home in the heart of Mayfair for as long as you wish. That beats staying in a hotel hands down.

These houses in Mayfair are usually covered by security guards 24 hours a day, so there are no worries on that score. Some of them even have parking spaces available for your car – whether your own or rented: Yes, parking spaces in the centre of the most densely populated capital city in the world!

So, if you are bringing your family to London and want to live your life as you normally do, consider looking for a house to lease in Mayfair. You won’t regret it.
