So Much To See And Do On A London Holiday

London is one of the world’s greatest cities to visit for a holiday. There is so much to see and do here that you wouldn’t see everything even if you stayed for three months. If you stay in the centre of the city in the West End, which incorporates Mayfair, there are many things to do which are within walking distance. In any event, walking is very often quicker than a taxi because, in common with every other capital city, the traffic is terrible.

If you stay in one of the luxury apartments in Mayfair, you have some of the world’s finest shopping right on your doorstep. Oxford Street, Bond Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly, and Knightsbridge are all to hand. If you want to go for a walk in the park, then Green Park and Hyde Park are easily available, and in Hyde Park you can go for a swim in the Serpentine or hire a boat, sit in the sun by one of the cafes, or even hire a horse and go riding along Rotten Row. Yes, really, you can go riding in Central London!

Staying in one of the luxury apartments in Mayfair also puts you within reach of famous museums, art galleries, the finest restaurants, and even the Royal Albert Hall if you are a music fan. Here you can listen to the BBC Promenade Concerts which take place for six weeks every year towards the end of summer.

Of course, many visitors to London stay in one of the well-known hotels which are luxurious but extremely pricey. However, if you rent one of the luxury apartments in Mayfair you will find it costs quite a bit less. That is by no means the only benefit. In a hotel you just have your hotel bedroom and that is it. In a luxury apartment you have so very much more space. At the very least, you will have a bedroom – or bedrooms – a sitting room, bathroom, and fully fitted kitchen, just as you would at home. Another advantage of an apartment is that you can invite guests around, which you can’t do in a hotel bedroom.
