Shop Until You Drop When Visiting London

If you are visiting London on a shopping trip you have a real treat in store. Oxford Street is as good a place as any with which to start, and there are over 300 shops along its’ length. Near to Marble Arch is Selfridges which is known worldwide. There are six floors of beauty products, homewares, furnishings, clothing, and luxury brands, together with a very large denim department.

In Oxford Street you will also come across flagship stores of Topshop, John Lewis, Debenham’s, Primark, Nike, and a whole lot more. For jewellery, head over to Bond Street where you will find the likes of Cartier, Chanel, Jaeger Lecoultre, Mappin & Webb, Rolex, and Tiffany.

Just off Oxford Street is St Christopher’s Place which is pedestrianised and houses a collection of small boutiques. You can also get a spot of lunch here at places like Carluccio’s.

Anyone Visiting London Must Not Miss Hyde Park

When visiting London for a holiday one of the things that you really must do is to visit Hyde Park. Together with Kensington Gardens adjoining it on the west, it is the largest green space in London and measures 1.25 miles east to west and half a mile north to south. Henry VIII took it over in 1536 and made it a Royal deer park, but it was opened to the public 99 years later in 1635 by Charles I. It includes the Serpentine lake which is used for swimming and boating, and on the north side of it is a bird sanctuary.

The main entrance to the park is called Grand Entrance and is a triple archway built in 1828. Close by is a statue of Achilles cast from captured French cannon and erected in honour of the Duke of Wellington. You can also see the Diana Memorial Fountain.

How To Save Money When Posting Employees To London

If you are the director of a business and sending some of your employees to London for a short while, whether it is to visit customers, to work with your London office or factory, or for any other reason, your company is obviously going to have to pay for their accommodation and food while they are here.

Now there are a couple of ways in which you can do this. The first, and for many people the most obvious way, is to put them up in a hotel. Done and dusted. They have a room each and they have got breakfast and dinner, and they can pay for their own lunch as at home.

However, hotels in Central London are notoriously expensive. Sending one employee  is bad enough, but if you are sending two or three to work on a project you need two or three hotel rooms which is, obviously, two or three times the cost.

However, there is another, and much better, way and that is to rent a short stay apartment London. Yes, you can rent apartments in the city for a lot less than you would pay for a hotel. Luxury apartments are available that have all the facilities of a hotel with the exception of a restaurant and bar. So, yes, your employee would have to do his own shopping and cooking, but that is no different from home anyway. He would also have to do his own laundry, but the same applies.

A short stay apartment London will work out at quite a lot less than a hotel room for a couple of weeks or a month. In fact, the longer the visit, the more your company will save.

Now consider this: if you are sending two employees to London you will obviously need a two bedroom apartment, but that won’t work out at a lot more than a single room one. Compare that with the price of two hotel rooms and your company can save a considerable amount of money with a short stay apartment London instead.

A London Hotel –V- A Luxury Apartment

When visiting London you obviously need somewhere to stay. If you have relatives or friends here who have a spare room then that problem is solved, but most of the 19 million visitors each year stay in hotels, largely because they have no idea there is an alternative.

Hotels in central London are expensive. There is no other word for it. You can easily be looking at £800 a night for two. Stay for twelve months and you will have spent enough to buy an apartment in one of the suburbs of the city. Fair enough, you are probably not going to stay for a year, but it does give you an idea of just how expensive hotels can be. Furthermore, it is not only the cost of the room. You also have the cost of eating lunch and/or dinner in the hotel restaurant, and if you want to relax in the bar buying drinks there.

So what is the alternative? Put simply, it is to rent a luxury apartment London. Yes, you can rent an apartment in the centre of London for considerably less than you would pay for a hotel. The only real difference is that you have to cook for yourself, which means doing your own shopping, and do your own laundry, but the apartment will have a washing machine and dryer so that’s all the same as you would do at home anyway. Not only that, if you can’t be bothered to cook dinner you can simply eat out at one of the very many restaurants in London.

A luxury apartment London provides you with a place that you can call your own for the duration of your stay. Hotels are all very well, but living out of a suitcase can get very tedious after a couple of weeks – or even a couple of days. Another advantage of a luxury apartment London is the amount of space. In an apartment you will typically have about twice the amount of space you would have in a hotel bedroom. You can also invite guests around for the evening, which you can’t really do in a hotel bedroom either.

There Are Only Three Ways To Stay In London

If you are coming to stay in London there are really only three ways of doing so..

First, you can stay in a hotel. Second, you can stay with a relative or friend – assuming you have one who lives in London. Third, you can rent an apartment and make it your “own” home for the duration of your stay.

Now it is true that the majority of visitors to London (all 19 million of them every year!) don’t have a relative or friend who lives in the city, although a few do. Even so, that relative or friend may not have enough in the way of spare bedrooms to accommodate you and your family, or even just one spare room if you are visiting on your own. That leaves most people with the option of staying in a hotel – because there is nowhere else to stay, is there?

Benefits Of A London Serviced Apartment

When visiting London, many people choose to stay in one of the wide choice of hotels available in the city. There are some excellent hotels with world-famous names such as the Grosvenor House, the London Hilton, the Dorchester, the Ritz, the Savoy, and more, many of them having been open for over 100 years. There is no doubt that they are luxurious, and there is equally no doubt that they are expensive.

However, the main problem with hotels – however luxurious they may be – is that after a few days everything starts to become monotonous. If you are staying for a few weeks you get to know what is on the menu for dinner tonight because it’s Wednesday. The other big problem is if you are here on business and want to hold meetings with customers. You can’t really do that in a hotel bedroom, and you can’t do it in the bar either.

Living Out Of A Suitcase Can Get Depressing

If you are a businessman and involved in visiting different cities, the idea of living out of a suitcase can become distinctly tedious. This is especially the case if you are cooped up in a hotel room for weeks on end, which can happen if your business requires you to visit different cities and countries. Sure, for the first few days when you arrive in a new city everything is new and different, and you can spend your free time exploring and meeting different people. However exciting that may be, you still have to return to those four walls every night and it can actually get depressing.

This is why more people than ever are choosing a luxury apartment in London when they have to visit the capital. Quite simply, it becomes a home from home: you have it to yourself, and you have more space than you ever will in a hotel room.

Things To See and Do In Mayfair
