If you are coming to stay in London from abroad, the first thing that you need to do is to decide where to stay. That seems a pretty obvious statement, but it is nonetheless true. Where you decide to stay in the city will depend on what you need to do – whether you are here on business or on vacation, visiting friends, studying – and how long you have to spend in the city. If it’s only for a couple of nights, then one of the city centre hotels might do, but if it is any longer you would do well to consider luxury apartments in Mayfair, London.
Many people don’t stop to think about this and just book into a hotel as a matter of course, wherever they happen to be going. However, the simple fact is that there are luxury apartments which are as good as – and in many respects far better than – a hotel and they have the added benefit of being less expensive too!
When we say they are better than a hotel, one of the first things to look at is privacy. In a large London hotel you could be in a building housing several hundred other people all from different backgrounds, speaking different languages, having different expectations, wanting to eat different foods, and so on. Now there is nothing wrong with all that, and London welcomes people of all different nationalities and cultures. But when you have your own luxury apartment in Mayfair it literally becomes your own for the duration of your stay. You might be staying for a week or for several months, but when you get back at the end of the day it is all yours to enjoy on your own or with your family or your friends. Just you and no-one else.
And when we mention the word “luxury” you just won’t believe how beautifully furnished these Mayfair apartments are. In most instances they have been fitted out by their owners who will have arranged things according to their own tastes. Mayfair is not a cheap place to live, so you can guarantee that property owners there have sufficient income not only to buy the property in the first place, but to furnish it in the best possible taste. The very finest furniture and carpeting will be found, along with paintings adorning the walls and luxury bedrooms with king sized beds.
TV is in every room, of course, (and many apartments provide it with multiple different channels and languages), as is high speed broadband, air conditioning, a fully fitted kitchen, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, and more. You get all the comforts of home for far less than you would pay for a hotel.
